Pimples are formed when pores on the skin gets clogged. The pores are full of dirt, bacteria and dead skin cells and washing out the pores is important. But often the pores will get blocked by oils that our skin makes.
Our skin has thousands of sebaceous glands that secrete greasy oil called sebum. This oil is necessary for your hair and skin, but sometimes the glands produce too much oil. This oil often blocks the pores trapping the dirt and dead skin cells. If the clogged pores aren’t cleaned out quickly a pimple will form. The bacteria inside the pore can be building into a pimple for as little as a few days to as long as 3 months.
Unsightly pimples can be embarrassing, making you feel depressed, less confident and wanting to get rid of pimples as fast as possible. But pimples usually don’t go away in one day by themselves, but there are many things you can do to get rid of pimples faster. Keeping proper care of your skin will help your skin to avoid breaking out and heal.
To clean out your pores you need to wash them regularly with warm water. Heat makes the pores open making it easier to clean them out. Use a facial scrub at least once a day to properly clean out your pores and keep bacteria away. Make a facial scrub that has a moisturizer that is suitable for your skin type. Use honey for regular, combination and oily skin; use aloe vera for sensitive skin and use olive or tea tree oil for dry skin. Aloe vera can be used on all skin types and is very gentle on your skin. Add an antibacterial agent such as lemon juices to help get rid of bacteria in your pores. Include some oatmeal to help exfoliate your skin and get rid of dead skin cells.
At least once a week use a creamy avocado and honey mask to clear out old dead skin and to help new skin cells to grow. Use 2 tablespoons of mashed avocado and mix with 3 tablespoons of honey and 1 egg yolk. Once the mixture is creamy add the egg white and shake in a resalable bag or container until mixed thoroughly. Apply to your face and gently massage into the skin. Let it sit on your skin for 5 to 10 minutes and rinse off with warm water.
Many times it is not your entire face or body that has pimples, but a small area. Focus on the acne affected areas with an ointment. Use ointments that contain benzoyl peroxide, this will help get rid of the pimple faster than most other products.
Use a facial cleanser once to twice a day. Look for products that contain salicylate acid, a powerful antibacterial agent and cleaning solution. If your face is drier only use once in the morning and in the evening use an acne cream instead. If your face is sensitive look for natural ingredients with salicylate acid, such as tea tree oil and aloe vera.
Remember to keep your face clean and don’t pick at the pimple. Picking at pimples can break the sack of bacteria open underneath your skin exposing the surrounding tissue to bacteria and causing future outbreaks.
